5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Study Decoder are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express permission.

NSW HSC syllabus content: Study Decoder reproduces portions of the official NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) syllabuses and past papers for the purpose of educational tutoring and study assistance. "Lifetime" plan — what we mean

"Lifetime" means unlimited use of Study Decoder for as long as Study Decoder operates as a service. It does not mean the lifetime of any individual user. We make commercially reasonable efforts to keep the service running, but we cannot guarantee perpetual operation. Prices, features, and AI models may change over time; significant changes will be notified to lifetime members in advance.

Lifetime access is non-transferable and tied to your account. Sharing your account with others is prohibited (see Section 2).

Refunds & Australian Consumer Law

Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you are entitled to a refund if:

For other refund requests, please contact us within 7 days of purchase. We handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis consistent with ACL requirements.

Referral programme

If you share your personal referral link and another user signs up using it, both accounts may receive additional free-trial days. Specifically: the new user receives 2 extra days at signup, and your account receives 3 extra days once the new user has signed up for 24 hours and completed at least one decoding action.

Rewards are limited to one per invitee email lifetime and to no more than ten activated rewards per inviter per 30-day period. Rewards are not redeemable for cash, paid plan time, or transferable to other accounts, and Study Decoder may decline or reverse rewards where the referral appears to be self-referral, an automated signup, or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of the programme. We do not send referral emails on your behalf — you share the link yourself via your own messaging app.

7. Educational Disclaimer

Study Decoder is designed to supplement, not replace, traditional education. We do not guarantee any specific academic outcomes. The AI-generated content is for educational purposes and should be verified against official curriculum materials (NESA/ACARA syllabuses).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Study Decoder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Important: Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other legislation which cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Termination does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
